Jaguar Heritage Collection

There are a lot of Jaguar enthusiasts around the world today, and we’re willing to bet that a good many of them got their first introduction to the luxury British automaker from film. After all, these premium luxury vehicles aren’t something you see on the street every five minutes. Here, the team at Jaguar Great Neck has decided to run through some of the most famous appearances of Jaguar vehicles in the movies. Check it out!

1.Die Another Day

What more classic way for a Jaguar to make an appearance than in a movie starring Britain’s most famous spy, James Bond? For this film, the 2002 Jaguar XKR made an appearance. Featuring clean lines and robust V8 power, this model combines power, luxury, and elegance.

2. Roadracers

The first Jaguar ever to show up in a major motion picture was the Jaguar 1958 Special in 1959. For inspiration, nostalgia, and a look at this big cat’s storied origins, this is a fun film to watch.

3. Gone in 60 Seconds

A movie made for car lovers, Gone in 60 Seconds features the 1994 Jaguar XJ220. Made in collaboration with Tom Walkinshaw Racing, this international supercar boasts a twin-turbo 3.5L V6 engine. The concept version worked on a V12.

4. 1961 Jaguar E-Type

Okay, okay, so James Bond wasn’t the ONLY British spy to sport a Jaguar in one of his films. Austin Powers did so in 1997 in the screwball comedy, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. Regaled in a British flag paintjob, let’s just say this was a unique take on one of Jaguar’s most iconic convertibles.
