First Look at the Jaguar XE SV Project 8
You haven’t experienced true performance until you’ve gotten behind the wheel of the Jaguar XE SV Project 8. This model, which improves upon the standard Jaguar XE, is said to produce the most extreme performance ever by a vehicle from the British automaker – at least, for models that are made for the common roads. Find out everything you need to know with this Jaguar XE SV Project 8 preview.
What to Expect
While the Jaguar F-TYPE SVR was previously known as the automaker’s most powerful vehicle in production, that namesake will soon be replaced by the Jaguar XE SV Project 8. The compact XE sedan will have a supercharged 5.0L V8 installed, tweaked to churn out a whopping 592 hp, which is 17 hp more than the F-TYPE SVR and a significant jump from 2016’s F-TYPE Project 7, which generated 550 hp. Additional details are scarce, but we can look out for a large rear wing and DTM-style body flares that set this model apart even further.
Pricing on this model has not yet been specified, but Jaguar intends to produce just 300 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 models worldwide. Each one will be hand assembled at the Special Vehicle Operations Technical Center in Coventry, the 300 figure is slightly more than the 250 Project 7 models that were released last year.
